Honorable Gene Schnelz
Judge Gene Schnelz has just recently retired as an Oakland County Circuit Judge after 28 years of service. He was an District Court Judge in Novi for 4 years and also served as Chief Judge. He is a graduate of Alma College, Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law and the National Judicial College. Prior to his judgeship, Judge Schnelz was a former attorney for Walled Lake, Wixom, Wolverine Lake, Milford, Milford Township, and Walled Lake School District. He is a recipient of the State Bar’s two highest awards for service to public and profession, the Oakland County Bar Association’s Frances R. Avadenka Memorial Award for public service, Women’s Bar Association Award for outstanding contributions, Jewish Association for Residential Care Civil Rights Award, Join Resolution of Michigan Legislature for public service, Jewish Association for Special Children Civil Rights Award. In addition, he received the NAACP Presidential Award for Judicial Service, Alma College Distinguished Alumni Award, Luther Attorneys in Witness First Award for positive leadership in the church and community, Sunshine Award from Child Abuse and Neglect Council of Oakland County the State of Israel Humanitarian Award, Oakland County Bar Distinguished Public Service Award and was selected as one of Michigan's Most Respected Judges by Michigan Lawyers Weekly poll.

He will be concentrating his practice on conducting mediations and arbitrations.

H. Wayne Wells
After a 30-year legal carrer with AT&T and Ameritech, Wayne Wells retired and entered private practice in 1994. He was Vice President-General Counsel and Secretary of Michigan Bell Telephone Company (1982-1991) and Ameritech Publishing, Inc. (1991-1994). His telecommunications practice covers the period 1964 to the present; Mr. Wells has had considerable experience in general corporate matters, employment law, contracts and antitrust.

Mr. Wells received his Juris Doctor and B.A. degrees from the University of Iowa. He served as an Air Force Judge Advocate from 1960-1964 and then joined AT&T as an attorney. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, various Federal courts and in Michigan. Mr. Wells has served as the Chairperson of the Michigan General Counsels Association, the American Corporate Counsel Association (Michigan Chapter), the Administrative Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Corporate Counsel Section of the Detroit Bar Association. He served as a Director of the Detroit Bar Association and the Oakland University Foundation and as a Trustee of the Rehabilitation institute of the Detroit Medical Center and the Detroit Bar Association Foundation.

Mr. Wells specializes in telecommunications matters ranging from landline to cellular to cable operations.

William Lansat
With more than 18 years of experience, Mr. Lansat counsels clients in a broad range of corporate and juvenile law related matters.

Mr. Lansat has represented clients in a wide range of business and commercial disputes in adverse areas including telecommunications, real property disputes, zoning and municipal matters, contract disputes and in family law areas. He has been a lead attorney in a vast number of lawsuits in federal and state courts and hearings and appeals before various administrative bodies.

Mr. Lansat received his Juris Doctrine degree from Wayne State University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Lansat is very active in the State and Oakland County Bar Associations. He has been a frequent lecturer for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Oakland County Bar Association.
